The learner will:

  1. Be able to engage in an active sensory story.

  2. Be able to make choices about how to move their body.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Attend to an adult leading an active story
    • Move at least three different body parts in relation to the story
    • Take part in at least two different actions in relation to the story (e.g, wave, stamp feet)
    • Take part in at least two different action verbs in relation to the story (e.g., jump, dance)
    • Use preferred communication device to select a prop to engage with
    • Use preferred communication device to choose a body part to move during the story 
    • Use preferred communication device to request stop/go
    • Use preferred communication device to request more/finished
