The learner will:
Identify the main animal groups for classification.
Describe the features of different animal classification groups.
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- List the main categories for animal classification e.g. mammals, birds, amphibians etc
- Sort images into the main categories for animal classification
- Explain the meaning of the terms 'invertebrate' and 'vertebrate'
- Identify at least two features of the main animal groups e.g. mammals, amphibians, fish etc
