What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Look at a range of sources to create a fact file on four saints
    • Take part in a discussion about the similarities between the four saints and their lives
    • Take into account what has been discussed and state what a saint is
    • Take part in a group discussion about the story of St John Ogilivy and identify his motivation 
    • Research the life of Mary St MacKillop using a range of resources, and create a presentation on her
    • Read the story of St Francis and answer questions on his life
    • Use a range of resources to create a presentation on Mother Teresa and explain why she was made a saint
    • Order fragments of the diary of Saint Joan and explain why she was made a saint
