What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Correctly identify symbols relating to daily routines (e.g., food, sleep, school) on five separate occasions
- Correctly identify symbols relating to familiar objects (e.g., phone, chair, cup) on five separate occasions
- Match symbols to the correct action or object, for example matching the symbol "eat" to a picture of a plate of food, or the symbol for "bedtime" with an image of a bed
