Learning outcomes
What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do
The learner will:
Be able to communicate information about themselves
Be able to find out information about other people
Assessment criteria
What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Introduce themselves to another person
- Look at the person they are talking to
- Communicate their address, age and date of birth
- Use a sentence to communicate three other facts about themselves e.g. "I like swimming." or "I have blue eyes"
- Respond to a question to communicate one other fact about themselves e.g. "My favourite food is pizza." when asked about their favourite food
- Find out names of three people in the group
- Recognise written names of two people in the group
- Ask a question to learn information about the group e.g. "what is your favourite colour?"
- Take turns in a conversation with one other person
- Use a tick chart to record preferences of the group e.g. favourite food
- Find a named person on the chart and indicate their preference
