What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Identify the equipment used e.g. stumps, bat, ball, pads
- Identify the different playing positions e.g. bowling, batting, fielding
- Identify the basic sequence of events e.g. bowler bowls to the batsman, batsman attempts to hit the ball, if successful runs, fielders retrieve the ball
- State three ways a batsman can be out
- Explain where the bowler must bowl from and what is a fair bowl
- Explain how runs can be scored
- Explain how a team wins
