What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Prepare themself for a colouring service and wear the correct personal protective equipment
- Prepare a client for a colouring service and use the correct personal protective equipment
- Prepare the work area for a colouring service, using the correct equipment and tools
- Communicate with a client and behave in a professional manner
- Position themself and client appropriately throughout service i.e. correct posture
- Section hair ready for colour application
- Mix the false colour (conditioner and flour) the correct consistency
- Apply colour to client's roots and hair using neat sections
- Remove the false colour from the hair and scalp
