The learner will:

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Participate in five different activities eg music, cooking, sport, ICT, art, sensory room
    • Use own communication strategies with a range of staff to indicate they would like an activity to continue through known strategies such as facial expressions, engagement levels, vocalisation, gestures, signing, symbols or words such as ‘more’ or ‘again’
    • Use own communication strategies with a range of staff to indicate they would like an activity to stop through known strategies such as facial expressions etc or words such as 'stop' or 'no'
    • Indicate preference of an activity from a choice of two, using communication strategies such as objects, photographs, symbols or words
