The learner will:

  1. Be able to explore different ingredients for each food to be prepared.

  2. Be able to participate in preparing simple food from four European countries with support as needed.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Use their senses to explore at least two different ingredients per food cooked
    • Express a like or dislike for the ingredients explored
    • Use tools such as a grater or rolling pin to prepare ingredients; with help as necessary
    • Make actions such as rubbing or mixing to combine ingredients; with help as necessary
    • Cook dishes as required; with support as required
    • Present foods appropriately; eg pastries on a plate
