What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome
The learner can:
- Wash their hands before food preparation
- Carry out simple, single step instructions to keep the environment clean
- Identify three basic pieces of equipment and know how to use these safely with help
- Identify two different electrical appliances found in a kitchen and indicate their uses
- Take part in activities using different basic cooking equipment
- Follow health and safety guidance when using basic cooking equipment
