The learner can:

    • Listen to at least eight different styles of music including country, folk, indie, pop, rock, soul, 80's synth, R and B, 
    • Listen to music from at least four different decades 
    • Pick a favourite song 
    • Describe the style of music
    • Explain why they like the song, including how it makes them feel
    • Find a lyric in the song they like and explain what it means to them
    • Identify whether the song lyric relates to their personal experiences
