What the learner needs to know, understand or be able to do

The learner will:

  1. Explore a range of personal hygiene activities.

  2. Explore a range of health and well being activities.

Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Be supported to participate in a sensory exploration of at least three different personal hygiene products, for example, bubble bath, deodorant, moisturiser
    • Use a preferred method of communication to indicate a preference for at least one of the above personal hygiene products, for example, roll on deodorant, cocoa face mask
    • Tolerate at least three different activities linked to personal hygiene, for example hand washing, hair brushing
    • Be supported to participate in at least three different sensory-based activities which help to maintain good mental health
    • Be supported to participate in at least three different activities that support learners' physical health and wellbeing
