Assessment criteria

What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Find three dangers that could occur in the living room with support
    • Respond to basic safety cues in the living room with adult support (e.g., recognising fire dangers through sight, touch and sound
    • Sort pictures or safe simulation of living room items into” safe" and "unsafe" categories. (e.g., a cushion would be safe, and a lit candle unsafe)

    • Find three dangers that could occur in the kitchen with support
    • Respond to basic safety cues in the kitchen with adult support (e.g., recognising a hot surface through sight, touch and sound)
    • Sort pictures or safe simulation of kitchen items into” safe" and "unsafe" categories. (e.g., a rolling pin would be safe, and a hot stove unsafe)
