What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome

The learner can:

    • Visit a local gallery and view the work of different artists, stating what they like
    • Take part in independent research of artists to identify style preferences to inform own artwork
    • Identify images and styles they would like to recreate
    • Identify the colours needed to mix colours
    • Take part in practical colour mixing activity to create intended colours
    • Explore the use of tints, tones and shades in own artwork
    • Identify and comment on the use of colour in the work of other artists
