- Identify the properties of at least three materials
- Choose suitable materials for each part of a model based on their properties
- Plan a model by writing or drawing instructions
- Follow written or visual instructions to create a model
- Follow their own written instructions to make their own planned model
- Explore different ways to connect materials together (e.g., stapler, screws, paper clips) and evaluate which is the strongest
