Independent living and housing

This pathway supports young people to live as independently as is possible. It covers all aspects of independent living and home management from budgeting and cooking to knowing what sources of support are available in the local community.

The learner will demonstrate factual knowledge about the importance of personal hygiene, list different products, how they are used and how to store the safely.
Level 1  10
The learner will develop their functional numeracy skills through a range of activities to improve their awareness of themselves and others.

The learner will participate and engage with activities in the context of Wales.
WTE1  10
The learner will show an understanding of the importance of daily personal hygiene routines; they will know what is needed to maintain good health and well being and what factors result in ill health.

The learner will handle items bought in a shop whilst they are being counted, they will seek to find one the same and will indicate largest and smallest of the same object.
